Week Nine
I feel so bad I'm month behind ah but I'm catching up now.
Monday
All This For Hunter, He's A Cool Kid But Really!!!
It's was the fourth of July and my friend Hunter's B-day and we had a party more of a family fourth party that Hunter wasn't invited to...but we did have a ton of fun and had hot dogs, chips, family, & about a million dollars in fireworks.
Tuesday
This Is What We Call Sleep Depravation
Mom, Chris, and I went shopping for out camping stuff, and then we got home and packed. I decided to literally get EVERYTHING ready I had lunches, snacks, clothes, toiletries, packs, water, and hiking gear all ready to go that night I was probably getting in bed at 2 a.m. It didn't help that I did't sleep well any way.

We left at 8 that morning and got to camp in the afternoon and camped...I had fun...I didn't crawl on the hike...I didn't go river rafting...sorry it was fun but not super eventful.

Week Eight
Oh my gosh have I been doing this for two months? That's madness!

Monday
Family Home Geocaching
About last May I got a geocaching app on my phone and was instantly in love. It wasn't until Easter when I looked and saw there was one close to out hotel and get most every one to come and look. That trip lead us to doing eight that night and we didn't even stop when we got the truck stuck in the mud. So now geocaching is a regular thing to do every once and a while. On Monday we decided to do it for family home evening. We started out at Rumbi's Island Grill for dinner and then got Twizl Berry for desert. We then found caches in the Wal-mart parking lot, across from to McDonalds. When we were at Twizl Berry we dad posted of facebook that we were there and my sister Kira called because being like 38 weeks pregnant she heard about any kind of food and wanted it so we got Kira, Kristi, and Chuck all Twizl Berry and then we went home, it was a fun evening.

Did We Just Have A Jenny Day
For those of you who don't know what a "Jenny Day" is it's when my Cousin Jenny (remember her the second best mom ever) well when I was younger She would take us with her and we would just do fun stuff. The reason she's so great is the fact that she always has something planed. On Friday Jenny invited us to go to a slip'n'slide that her ward was doing. We of Course said YES and that was all it was going to be just a few hours of slip'n'slide with my cousin and her kids...BUT we went back to her house and watched a cool how things work type video and I said that I was cold ( I was still wet and in my swimsuit because I didn't plan on being there long so I had no other close.) So she tells me where the blankets are and then asks me if I would like some Brownies. We all said yes so Jenny went and made us brownies. Then mom came and they start talking and we decide to watch the fire works at the office where they both work. Oh and did I mention we then went and spent a lot of money on fireworks food drinks and snacks. Jenny is just amazing. She is exactly like her mom, and if you knew Sonya you know that is an amazing compliment.

Survivor Episode One Review
This is an amazing season I love the story arcs, all the twist (yes I mean ALL), and the characters are unforgettably hatable and/or wonderful.
First off I would like to know what the contestants were thinking when they don't know the game has started but their are cameras all over the place getting the opening shots. Also notice who had the first interview of the season, did you catch it? Okay now the first twist, the close and obviously their is one big stand out. I'm talking about Lill. I understand that they just got there and that is supposedly what she wore on the plane there but I'm sorry If I she her getting on a plane dressed like that and I'm thinking which med did Grandma forget to take. Also how did Osten get that much booze on the plane those looked slightly larger then 3fl oz just saying.

And on top of all that, just the way his name is spelled Osten (what med did new mom forget to take). I liked the way the tribes were split up going back and forth and I don't know if we would have heard Christa calling Rupert a "Big Old Hippy" other wise. This season has some of the strangest career labels Scout Troop Leader, Produce Clerk, Computer Programer, Art Consultant, Troubled Teens Mentor. My personal feelings are that right off the bat Drake had a big advantage, what advantage is that, Sandra Diaz-Twine. Sandra really did amazing in that village, and then to make things worse for Morgan, Ryan O runs off to see abut a boat with out the map (notice Ryan O's TOTAL baby face), and of course theirs not total domination until Rupert stills their shoes. I love the way he describes it as they pirated because my mind goes to them going to a movie with a camera or something. But all this fun comes crashing down when Osten makes one of the most awkward comments in survivor history. I wont put it here because it's really inappropriate. But don't worry Osten cant ruin all the fun because what comes next, the lesbian. I love Trish and her "friend", I love even more that Sandra probably never told her what was really going on. Also while we're on Sandra you know she is a force to be reckoned with the second you see a woman give away all her chicken. I don't know about you but when my family has a BBQ thats the meal. That women gave away food for all those people. Sandra is GOOD. So then they get to their camps and right off the bat we see that Burton and Shawn don't have great social skills. And on the other side we see that the Morgans probably even have a hard time with what us normal folks call life. So night falls back at Drake beach and we get the true side of Jon. I love that Rupert thinks that Jon has the maturity of a troubled teenage boy and then to top it all of Sandra the Queen of the potty mouth complains about Jon's fowl mouth. Then it's night at Morgan and Andrew give a very unintentionally funny line. You might not get it so just think double meanings he says that they build a half A frame just think about it. (It may just be funny to me.) Next the day has dawned over at Drake and clothes start switching. That's all I have to say on the matter. The best part of this entire episode is that the entire Morgan tribe can't find water and no one thinks to look at the map. =) So now we have the Challenge, it is an odd challenge in that there really was no place for the trailing team to get ahead other then at the very end, and before that the lead team has to do most of the work clearing rocks and the bamboo walls. and lets not for get the COMPLETELY unnecessary nudity. I'm sorry but if my friend gets pants'd I'm not following suit. I love that all we get from Drake after they win is all of their reactions to the nudity. And now comes the part that I've been waiting for. I get to bag on Andrew Savage, I do NOT like Andrew and the fact that he delivers a very "forever soccer dad" comment doesn't help. He says to his tribe that they are going to do better and they'll not take the loss hard and then he lets something slip when he says "and we'll remember how cocky they were" and then pulls it right back in. =P. In the end 4 peoples names come up and what I'm going to do is list the pros and cons of every name brought up.

Week Seven
This is really just going to be me telling about the wonderful trek I went on that week
We had a bajillion hour long bus ride to somewhere in Montana when we got there we headed out to our camp site along the way we did the women's pull. When we got there I made fire with my magnesium fire starter. A lot of the other camps came and asked for coals, I felt like a G.
The next day we went to Martins Cove and learned from the senor missionaries about the troubles and trials that happened there. It was so touching. After that a few people reenacted the river crossing that we didn't think we would get to do because of the flooding in the area. When we got back people tried helping with the fire and it kept going out so I stepped in and took over. G
On the last day we got up and were told that breakfast would be a pioneer breakfast. All we were given was a dry flavorless cracker thing. When we got back to the visitors center they fed us amazing french toast. It was so spiritual and for the first time in a long time I shared my testimony of the gospel. The best part of it all, It became clear early on that I'm a EXPERT on Survivor. People would play games with me and ask me a question and the other girl there that has watched would confirm. And the end all of everything was when I told them that I can name the boot order for all the seasons in order and the other person who has watched and everyone was amazing and she asked me how I could do that I here the kicker

Pearl Islands Ep 1
Sorry I couldn't find the Video in parts. I'll have my comments up on friday hope you enjoy this. It is one of the greatest first episodes and seasons. On Monday evening I was looking at Facebook and stumble upon this little beauty the caption my friend had put on the video was that this is Norway's Rebecca Black. Me being not so much a RB hater but I respect the fact that some music is just funny and not much more I had to watch and may I just was amazingly horribly funny. Let me know witch is worse, more funny and witch one you think is a more auto-tuned.

Oh The Torture
On Tuesday for young men's we had a fundraiser. We sold dinners of hot dogs or hamburgers with chips, watermelon, and a drink. The young men were the entertainment for the evening we all dis a sorta man v food thing. The challenges were as follows.
Caden 8 hot dogs in 5 min
Trevor An entire large pizza
Hunter Two bags of gold fish
Guy a butt load of Mac and cheese in french bread loaf bread bowl
Jacoby 8 patty burger
As everyone is picking there thing on Sunday I'm thinking they're going to make me do something and I'm a little guy so it can't be crazy and I eat as health as I can so I wanted it to be health. And I know a would never here the end of it if I said salad or something so, what did I come up with? An entire watermelon. And I swear no sooner then I said it everyone gos mad. Every single person is in shock that I think I can do this. Back to Tuesday now I'm up and I'm starting off strong I'm going and in know time I'm half done and I'm feeling good I'm 3/4 of the way done and I hit a wall I'm literally taking bites that babies would be ashamed of. In the end I did it I ate the entire watermelon. Unfortunately I could not stand up straight but, I never through up, I may have visited the restroom a lot but I didn't through up.

Any one who has ever seen legally blond should recognize that quote as Elle's defense as to why there client didn't murder her husband. And I quote.

And in case you're wondering this post is or at least wasn't supposes to be about legally blond I just happened to go on a nice jog that day and that quote came to mind

Happy Birthday Gillian(I Swear I Didn't Plan All These B-days)
This is getting ridiculous there need to be less people. That's not to say I would give up a single relationship but just put there births farther apart. But onto Gillian. A year ago I don't know that I would have gotten an invite from Gillian and I don't know that I would have said yes either, now I can say that even if teasing her is still my favorite thing ever she is one of my best and closest friends. At her party we had homemade chips and salsa, cheese cake played a weird how much do you know about everyone game and spoon and then I got everyone to go geochaceing. I do want to apologize, when we were eating no matter what I said I was talking about something not everyone could talk about. It was how ever so much fun we may even have a camp fire soon just because of how much fun it was.

Today Nothing Was L.A.C.ing
Excuse the pun but, on Friday I went to the Logan Acuatic Center (L.A.C.) with my cousin Jenny to help watch her and our cousins shelly who is outa towns kids I think over ten kids three adult if you count me as an adult and in that situation I do. One of the best parts was that coincidentally a big bunch of my friends were there. My BFF Lexie was there and with out any asking decided to help me with the kids I was assigned. It was so much fun spending the day with her and all my little cousins.

I Look Like A Sausage To That Lion...A Sausage With Braids, And That's Not Very Comforting.
Have you ever watched Duel Survival on Discovery because if not your missing out. It is one of the few non Survivor survival shows. It is so over done but the two guys crack me up here a vid of the episode with that quote if you have time watch it all if not go to about 4 min 30 sec and you'll get a good impression.

Waking In Foreign Lands
Missy was gone and I was in her room and it was my first night there. I had a great nights sleep. The best part of it all is that even now that its been my room for two weeks I still every once and awhile walk in to my old room and then have to go to my new room.

You Got Your Fruit In My Gum Wait That's Not Fruit!!!
As of late Mom's new favorite kind of gum is the new Mentos Squeeze Gum. It's regular Mentos fruit gum but with "fruit" bits in side. After picking me up from Drivers Ed, Mom offered me some and I've had it before and I usually will dump out the "fruit" inside the gum but I forgot to. The "fruit comes out and it's good but just not a good texture. It made me laugh that I had forgotten something like that.

A few weeks ago I got my Lerner's permit, lets just say it was "stressful" at best. First off we went in two different times because of when they close and when I took it I technically failed. Yep that's right I failed, but when I went to talk to the very very nice lady at the testing desk (she had one of those voices that only nice people have kind of a mix between southern bell and a three year old but in a good way) we went over the questions and she looked at one question and said
"Oh! That's not a fair question. I'm marking that right!" So I have my permit and how is this for awesome, when I went to go to the car where dad was supposedly waiting he was gone. Oh, and did I mention that he had my phone since I couldn't have it in the testing area. Turns out he went to get chickens that he has wanted for years and not told anyone he was getting. That's right NO ONE:)

As stated above we now have chickens. Five little Rhode Island Reds, and as these pictures show we have been getting along very nicely.

Gretchen (The name of the first person to ever make the Merge but not be on that Jury of Survivor also the 2nd vote off of Survivor Borneo that I acutely care that they went home. The First was Sonja but I think most of us know why I would name an animal that)
Spot (She has the most spots plain and simple)
Ginger (She is that most reddish or ginger of them all also the nickname of my favorite teacher in the whole
world Jenifer "Ginger" Hyde)
Baldy/Cirie (Her name was Baldy because her head had no spots so she looked bald but this week some head feathers popped up so that name was a no go and Cirie Fields is one of the greatest players to ever play the game of Survivor so...)

Park City More Like Pack 5 Kids Around A Hotel All Day City =)
I went to Park City on Friday to watch Jenny's kid while she my mom my brother my uncle and I guess step-aunt (if there is such a thing) had a cabinet meeting for work. (Yes that's right I'm related to all of the cabinet members of the office) Jenny has five kids Des, Brooke, Syd, and the twins Madison and Savanna. I would be baby sitting them all day with what little help I could Squeeze out of Chris. After a lot of stinky diapers, stinkier children's programing, a lack luster game of chess, lunch, a whole lot a love, fun, and what I think ended up being longer then a nine to five day(great movie by the way) everyone came back to the hotel and we went for diner at a great place that's name escapes me. Jenny or any one that needs a baby sitter if you're reading this I would love to do it again any time.

Trek Saturday
So Trek is in about a week and we just learned who are "families" are. I got put in with a good friend of mine's real parents. After breakfast a good shout talk by a LDS film guy we were given out "families" and sent to meet each other and work of "family" flags. Our "mom" had the idea to put TREK-kies and have every one do a hand print of the weird star trek hand thing. It also says Live long in the gospel ... and Prosper in Faith. Its pretty good seeing as my idea was to write on the flag that word FLAG.

So every family has there Sunday traditions for some its going on a walk others its every one comes over for diner. Well ever since our trip to Tijuana last Christmas when I introduced mom to survivor(she only watched at first because she falls asleep to TV at home and I offered my Ipod that only had survivor on it)we have been watching Survivor almost every Sunday while making diner as of late dad has been joining us because he got way ahead of mom and had to stop when there where no more DVDs giving mom a chance catch up, and since I'm the only one who knows how to find them on You Tube dad can't watch with out us. I love us=).

Week Three
I'm trying to get these out sooner =) I'm also going to do someone new i'll add a poll to the left side bar, to get threw the summer with out any Survivor I want to do old season recaps so the poll will ask what season I should do and I'll go from there and I think if something I really love i.e. Survivor was more attached to the blog they might come out more regularly and on time. Paula Poundstone is a comedian that often appears on the one news podcast I listen to "Wait Wait Don't Tell Me" "The NPR News Quiz Show" and as far as I'm concerned she is the funniest person that they have on there. Now because its public radio theirs not really a lot of swearing but I don't really know about her other stuff so maybe check her out before buy a CD and listening to her in front of the kids or parents. Really what I'm trying to get at is Wait Wait Don't Tell Me is funny

End of an Era (More Like Rein of Terror)
Wednesday was either L banquette or the candle light ceremony at Logan High and Missy being a senor attended. Missy and I rarely see one and other with her having to put it lightly a hectic schedule. When we do see one and other to put it lightly it's hectic. There can be hitting, name calling, and a lack of patience and that just when one of us says Hi" to the other. The fact is still that (insert cliche here) We love each other no matter what.

Yearbook Signing
First off may I say that this school year has been a craptasticly fantastic year. I met two more teachers that like survivor and this time I like both of them(don't get me started of last years survivor watching social reject of teacher)(wow that was really rude and funny all at the same time (= ) But best of all I get an old friend back. Kat and I have not always been good friends or really friends very much. This year is great because we are again. Yearbook signing day always has been a day to finally realize that the year was over. The day started off with dad taking me to school since I forgot to get a ride since Missy had graduation practice that morning. I got there just before classes were let out so I got the stamp from the financial Secretary that i didn't have any more fees and I was the forth person to get there year book witch is awesome because four is my lucky number. I went through the day getting friends and teachers signatures and laughing when I had someone sign that we were always friends and knowing that I had just put in there own that it was nice of them to be my friend on our scout trips(Wow I must be on one, that is kinda mean too)

The best part of it all I slept in oh the beauty of it all.

Happy Birthday Chuck, Madvana, and Savason!!! (Now its not even De Javu it's just normal)
Also The Farmers Market.
So technically Friday was Chuck birthday but it seemed simpler to push the two birthdays together. But on Friday Kristi had a campfire cook out in there back yard for his birthday and it was a lot of fun. Especially when mom and I made the three Homer family salads in under two hours. :) And for you friends that read the blog Madvana and Savason are not real names but the mash up name I use for Jenny's twins Savanna and Madison. They turned one on Saturday and I never got to see them on there birthday but they're so much that they get to be in here too anyway. And now the farmers market is awesome I love the food, the crazy lady who puts the yarn octopus on your shoulder when your not looking. Its all great fun except for the weather if someone could work on that, that would be gr8. =).
